Dear Golfers,
Well, it feels like the second opening of the season although we are in May!
Certainly, the Covid-19 virus pandemic has taken its toll on the golf industry as well as many other aspects of our lives, with major disruptions to professional golf tours world-wide as well as our own local tournament schedule. The good news is that golf courses have re-opened and we see a return to playing competitive golf on our courses.
Our golf course is starting to shape up after the delayed start to the season, and our focus will be on presenting the course in great condition moving forwards. To that end, the green keepers are in catch-up mode cutting the deep rough, preparing the greens to get them up to speed and trueness of roll, mowing fairways and the necessary agronomic procedures set out for the year are in full swing.
We have to live with certain new ‘’rules’’ such as no rakes in bunkers, leaving the flag in the cup, no shaking hands after the round although elbow bumping has become a replacement for the high-five or fist bump quite successfully.
We are also pleased to have the Panorama Restaurant open once again, with a new menu on offer.
We are happy to welcome our existing and new members to the club in these challenging times, and we are delighted to extend all memberships which expired between 1st of April 2020 and 1st May 2020 by a period of one month in good faith due to the impact of the pandemic which caused closure of the golf course.
The Riu Pravets Hotel re-opened its doors on June 4th and are extending great offers for stay and play packages which can be booked through the golf course. In this regard, or to discuss golf membership for 2020 please contact Kameliya Staykova by email: info@pravets-golfclub.com.
With local golfers travelling less internationally and the course becoming busier, we would remind members and golfers to reserve tee times when planning to play at Pravets as this will allow us to forward-plan and to better observe social distancing regulations that have now become a part of life.
